How To Decorate Your Home Windows For The Season

First and foremost the most crystal clear views inside your house are going to come from your windows being clean and clear to begin with. If your windows are full of fog and cracked like mine it would be very hard to see any lights from the inside. If you have been thinking about replacing your windows there’s never been a better time than right now. All our estimates are always free. If you get a quote now you could have clear views to display your lights before the season is over. How amazing would that be?

Our windows are the most top-notch on the market which means you’ll get; energy efficiency, Easy Clean coating, Argon Gas fill, weather resistance, and unparalleled beauty.

The second most helpful tip for decorating your home windows with lights is Command Hooks! These little hooks are not cheap. However, is a heck of a lot easier to take them down later than nails which can cause permanent holes in the siding, drywall, or fascia of your house. You’ll be doing your house a big favor by choosing to put up command hooks instead. Use the command hooks they’ve designed for lights.

Be careful. If you don’t have the money to hire someone to get on the roof and string up the lights (who does?) then make sure you have assistance. Also make sure you are wearing the proper shoes and are using proper equipment. It’s better to be safe than sorry as the saying goes.

Also, you don’t always have to use string lights. There are many other options from flood lights, to hanging lights that can set your house above the rest.

Another thing to consider is to trying to find a common theme. Okay, as a person who goes out and looks at Christmas Lights every year this is more of a stylistic criticism. I like when people choose matching lights and try to coordinate the entire house to look like one cohesive vision. Try to mix and match your lights to your best abilities. Outdoing the neighbors is a must. I’m also a firm believer in this philosophy . . . It only takes one yard decoration to go from classy to tacky. Keep this in mind as you are placing things in the yard. You and me could be one decoration away from falling into chaos.

I’m taking this article a bit too seriously at this point, but you get the basic gist of the situation.

Lastly, and I cannot stress this enough, it is so important to put your lights away in an organized orderly fashion. As a kid, the previous year would come back to haunt my family as we’d struggle to detangle yards and yards of lights. Do yourself a favor for next year, keep your lights in a nice neat bundle. You are protecting your lights from getting damaged, and saving yourself a lot of headache for when you re-open the decorations next year.

Finally, have fun! After all that is what this season is about!
