Are Cheaper Windows The Best Choice?
Let’s start with my father-in-law. He’s a very clean meticulous individual who has exactly one philosophy in life when purchasing anything. He’s said this philosophy to me on multiple occasions most recently with home-improvement tools that you would buy. “If you spend a little more, it’s likely to last you a lifetime. If you take care of it you’ll never have to purchase that item again.” We’ve all been there. I’ve been there before too, we are a little short on cash so we buy the cheaper option. This has happened to me on more than one occasion. I’ll purchase a similar albeit “cheaper” item as my father-in -law and his item seems to last and last while mine breaks down three months later and I’m rushing to the store to buy this item again. It happened to me so often in fact, that now I will purposefully buy the item that is slightly more expensive to ensure that the item will last, instead of just saving me a bit of money up front. That way I don’t ever have to buy that item again. I’m not saying you should do this for everything you purchase (the dollar store has cheap wrapping paper and door prizes for parties if you are in a pinch), but I will not use “The Dollar Store” any longer for dish soap or kitchen supplies (that pizza cutter only lasted a week).
If you don’t get where I’m going with this for you and your replacement windows it will be even more apparent to you after this article is done. Especially if you pay slightly more for a product that is higher quality, better made, overall a better product, this will be the only time you have to purchase that item. So the 20-100 dollars you’d spend extra on that griddle for your house will last you a lifetime as long as you maintain its cleanliness.
The same is true for your windows. While other window companies have the cheapest options out there, make sure you– to paraphrase Ice Cube “Check yourself before you wreck yourself” — when purchasing windows. You don’t want to get into a situation where you have cracking glass and windows which wear down just as quickly as you bought them. In the long run you might be better suited with this Meghan Trainor lyric instead “I deserve Better!” If you choose a higher quality window which might only cost you a little bit more over the life of your house, it’ll equate to higher quality windows, energy savings that only go down over time, and a higher equity over the life of your house. If you want the same high quality windows in 20 years that you spend money on today then choose Conservation Construction. If you want the existing windows you have now, choose a different company. I’m being a little dramatic here, but I also could not be more serious.
At Conservation Construction the ease of operation for your windows, how energy efficient they are, everything down to the how maintenance free they are is our utmost priority to provide for our customers. That’s why our Conservation windows have the biggest U-Factor of any manufacturer out there which means they let the most light in without letting the heat in with the sunlight. All the types of windows we sell here at Conservation Construction, vinyl windows, double hung windows, single hung, bow, come with Low-E and Easy Clean Glass and limited lifetime warranties. Which means your windows will practically clean themselves with our Easy Clean coating and are guaranteed to keep your rooms at a consistent temperature with our Low-E. If you choose our double hung windows they open from the inside too, which means you can clean them with ease. Other “cheaper” options cannot guarantee these same things. In case anything ever goes wrong with your windows, we will be there to make sure you are happy with them.
As I sit in my house and write this article, staring out my windows as I take in the beauty of this world and this life, it is all the more apparent to me how important natural light is to my mental health and well being. How important it is to appreciate the little things and be grateful for everything we have. To take care of the things that are important to us like our loved ones and our home. I hope this article has spread a little sunshine your way and I hope you let Conservation Construction let some light into your home. I’m sure you’ll be happy you did. The views with our windows will be the same year after year and we hope these little things, which make big impacts in your life, will put a smile on your face. Most of all I truly appreciate anyone who takes the time to read these articles. You are what keeps our business thriving and keeps my passion for writing alive.
