Got Failing Window Seals?

Home Window Replacement, Conservation Construction,

The most common problem with windows which are 15 years or older is a broken window seal. So many windows out there are crying out for attention, but they are often put on the back-burner. You can just cover up the problem with blinds or large curtains, right? Why actually be able to use the windows for the reason they were placed in your house in the first place?

It’s sad, but true, most people with windows which are broken or old typically just cover up the problem. This is sad for several reasons, but the first and foremost reason is that they, and you, don’t get the beautiful sunshine and views of the outdoors. You deserve the best out of your home, and old windows just don’t cut it.

Broken seals are easy to spot on your home or others homes by their tell-tale signs. Additionally, you can spot them a mile away by their spots and streaks from mineral deposits. Broken seals let the energy efficient gas between the panes escape. This means any air can get in and cause condensation between the glass. It also means that these windows have lost all of the energy saving properties a long time ago.

So, there are a lot of solutions to fixing this problem that I have read over the years, but none work as well as simply replacing the windows themselves. New insulated glass units with advanced window frames installed by our superior window installers make new windows orders of magnitudes better than simply replacing the glass itself.

Simply replacing the glass won’t replace the gas that was once between the glass. It won’t reseal your window with a new frame which is half the problem. Old wood and aluminum are poor insulators, and aluminum conducts heat making your home more hot in the summer.  In addition, window seal failure means your windows are no longer energy efficient at all. They are just letting the breezes take all your energy out the window with them.

Finally, Conservation windows come in double or triple pane. They are sealed windows with foam filled sides and top. We include a special Argon Gas fill and all of our glass is Low-E 360 Glass. Furthermore, this Low-E glass is even more energy efficient than our competitors on the market.

In conclusion, simply fixing the windows with caulk or hiding the window with large curtains may work for a little while, but we want you to have windows which you can look out of and feel proud of. Let all the sunshine in by going with a new set of replacement windows from Conservation Construction.
