What Makes New Windows Energy Efficient?

Most new windows are energy efficient. In today’s day and age with advancements in window technology why wouldn’t they be? But some windows, like the ones we provide at Conservation Construction, are even more energy efficient than regular windows you can get in any box store. Keep reading to learn why new windows are energy efficient and why ours are even more so.

Frames

Vinyl filled foam filled frames separate our windows from others on the market today. The sides of the frame are filled with a specialty foam which insulates better than standard vinyl frames. In addition, our frames are made of a strong composite vinyl which does crack or warp with the sun’s heat. This means they’ll remain stable and secure for years and years to come, giving you premium protection from whatever weather has to throw at your house.

Easy Clean Coating

At Conservation Construction we use Easy Clean Glass glass technology. This coating is technologically sound and it results in naturally cleaner glass. Your windows get 40% less dust compared to uncoated glass, keeping the window cleaner longer. This technology means you clean your windows less, but they stay clean longer. How neat is that?

Low-E Coatings

Additionally we use another coating to work with the Easy Clean Coating called Low-E Glass Coating. Low-E Glass coating delivers the ideal balance of solar control and high visibility. Our Low-E coating provides you with 4 layers of specially formulated protection to reject the sun’s heat without affecting the view. It lets more light in and keeps more heat out. So your home stays cool and comfortable.

Argon Gas Fill

At Conservation Construction we use Argon Gas to insulate between the glass panels. This gas insulates better air alone. Because they are smaller, Argon gas particles can better fill the space between windows better than air, too. The use of this Argon gas makes it perfect for filling windows. You’ll get supreme insulation and protection against air infiltration.

Significant Savings

With so much insulation and protection against UV rays you can expect to save on average 40% off your total energy costs. That’s huge savings when you consider all year round energy costs. This means you can save your money for more important things instead of the electric bill!
